Resumen

RUDEL, Pamela. La cuestión femenina y su construcción en la ficción del '80: Cané, Cambaceres y López. Cuad.Sur, Let. [online]. 2003, n.32-33, pp. 169-184. ISSN 2362-2970.

Most of the social, scientific and literary discourses of the 1880 generation, concur in a commonplace: woman is a weak being. This point of view is neither exclusive nor original. However, its recurrence throughout this period is, in fact, particular. Writers, critics and legislators make use of it in order to build up their arguments and produce their fictions. Woman becomes a fostering and key subject in the fiction of Cané, Cambaceres and López. Their texts not only reveal the disturbance caused by her presence, but outline a male fiction generated by the conflict between seduction and control, that the irruption of the female subject provokes in each one of the authors.
