Resumen

GARDIE, Silvana. Los viajes de '80 y la figura irritante de rastaquouère. Cuad.Sur, Let. [online]. 2003, n.32-33, pp. 207-218. ISSN 2362-2970.

The trip to Europe in the '80 themselves takes a new meaning by consequence of a displacement of class. This luck of opening sponsored in principle, by the capital economic one, permits that the new rich- without surname and without place in the cultural sphere-, they arrive to the Old World, attracted mainly by Paris. Facing the economic leveling, begin to be accentuated the symbolic differences. The gentlemen, from its chronicles of trip, respond to this leveling. On the one hand, convert the trip in a pure experience esthetics and by another, present the figure of the rastaquouére as the representative of that south american barbarism that now also arrives at Europe intending to be confused with the civilization.

Palabras llave : Trip; S. XIX; Rastaquouère.
