Abstract

NASTA, Marcela. Album mutor in alitem: metamorfosis e identidad poética en Horacio, Carm.II 20. Cuad.Sur, Let. [online]. 2003, n.32-33, pp. 291-304. ISSN 2362-2970.

This paper takes Horace's metamorphosis into a swan in ode II 20 as an episode of the poet's "autobiographical myth", whose making arises from the need of build up, legitimate and lend prestige to his own poetic carreer and identity. On the basis of its relationship with ode IV 2, ode II 20 is interpreted on meta-literary terms, in order to try a non metaphoric formulation of the author's literary reflection and definition of his own lyric persona.

Keywords : Latin lyric; Horace; Autobiographical myth.
