Maldición eterna a quien lea estas páginas and Cae la noche tropical by Manuel Puig -dialog-novels, which are included in the last part of his fiction- enable not only readings focused on the relationships between literature and mass culture -at the same time boundaries and meltings-, but also focused on two analitical and conceptual categories, which are named in Spanish by a unique word: "género" (meaning both genre and gender). Merging genre and gender in a particular way, Puig's literature produces an experimentation that twist hegemonic cultural meanings.
