Given the return to oral modes of discourse production brought about by the new technologies of information and communication, this work has three aims. First, to offer a panorama of the relationships between orality and writing in Human Sciences. Second, to indicate their respective hierarchies in the hermeneutics tradition in both its epistemological and ontological phases. And third, to limit itself to suggest a crossed dialogue between the textual paradigm governing Paul Ricoeur's hermeneutics proposal and the discursive dialogism of Mikhail Bakhtin and Valentin Volosinov in order to allow hermeneutics fulfill contemporary requirements.
