Several essays which analyzed the Peronist process agreed upon at least one aspect: Beyond the excessively contingent political alliances which were built in relation to it, it was also an efficient driving force to write the essays which attempted to interpret it. Beyond the critical, laudatory or programmatic purposes these texts aimed at, beyond the importance they could reach, not all essays were equally significant or allow a clear cartography in the field of debates. Among them, "Notas sobre la crisis argentina" ("Notes on the Argentine Crisis"), by H.A. Murena, is an essay whose singularity lies on two features: Its persistence on theses which exceed the Peronist phenomenon and the inclusion of the Peronism in American ontological problems, involving a collective fault and a process whose alternations are always superficial. A minor essay among the interpretations of the Peronism which dominated the discussion field in the fifties, Murena's text appears to be anachronistic and stubborn, perhaps in an intervention which attempts to make both a possible interpretation of the national being and a question to those who try to interpret Peronism and Argentina as well.
