Resumen

MOSCARDI, Matías. Operaciones de traducción en la revista 18 whiskys. Cuad.Sur, Let. [online]. 2010, n.40, pp. 135-152. ISSN 1668-7426.

The poetry magazine 18 Whiskies (1990-1991) is a writing space created after a mode of translation with which it establishes its own coordinates in the field of poetry in Argentina. In our work we will examine, on the one hand, the way translation strategies activate some relations between word and image; on the other hand, the way those same strategies rearrange one of the most important topics of the magazine: the father/son relationship imagery, as it appears disseminated across poems, critical pieces, and interviews. Finally, we will analyze the way these discursive operations lead to the installation of an emergent poetics that presents itself as a "novelty", since -through the translations- a sort of zerodegree enunciation is constructed: a discourse where the past appears as a trace without origin and the present imposes itself as the only possible starting point.

Palabras llave : Translation; Poetics; Novelty.
