Resumen

GARROTE, Karen. Hacia una nueva sujeción: el "sujeto fractal". Cuad. Sur, Filos. [online]. 2001, n.31-32, pp. 155-164. ISSN 2362-2989.

The prevailing sense of disillusionment in our post-modern era cannot be denied. The great systems have collapsed and, seemingly, man is unable to fall back on the transcendental ideas that justified him for centuries. The conception of 'subject' in our mass-media era has changed. It is up to us to wonder if such concept still exists or, for that matter, if there is a subject. It is our intention to begin by focusing on Nietzsche and his criticism of modernism from which we can work out Baudrillard's idea of the 'fractal subject', a concept closely related to both the media and the 'screen', where a new subjection is revealed: subjection to information.

Palabras llave : Posmodernity; Nietzsche; Fractal subject.
