Abstract

ZERPA, Marcela. Itinerarios de la razón práctica. Cuad. Sur, Filos. [online]. 2005, n.34, pp. 95-113. ISSN 1668-7434.

The present trends of the ethical debate wonder up to where they will support the foundations of the Ethics of Modernity, understood as subject, cogito or ratio, or if they must make new enquiries into this rationality founded on the Subject. But is it possible to return to the modern paradigm without yielding to the Kantian formalism? Or, on the contrary, is it desirable to build a thought truly far away from the certainties of the modern cogito? From these questions some lines of thought of the modern ethical discourse will be compared with contemporary ethical discourses in order to establish whether the XXth century could build a new perspective as regards Modernity.

Keywords : Subject; Universal Reason; Contemporary Ethical Debate; Communitarianism.
