We intend here a brief account of Laclau's proposal, pointing the heuristic capabilities of this theoretical perspective, and analyzing at the same time its political and regulatory implications. We firstly deal with the main categories that constitute the theoretical framework of this perspective, taking as an empirical reference the occurrence of the Peronista movement within the Argentinean society during 1945. Afterwords, we question ourselves about the regulations implied by this theoretical approach, and about the possibility to draw some guiding criteria for a political praxis with an emancipatory sense.
