Abstract

BEADE, Ileana. En torno a una posible interpretación del tratamiento kantiano de la afección sensible como argumento trascendental. Cuad. Sur, Filos. [online]. 2011, n.40, pp. 37-45. ISSN 2362-2989.

In this paper I shall analyze some of Kant's observations related to the thing-in-itself as the entity that affects our sensibility, producing the empirical representations. My main purpose here is to consider whether those observations can be justified by interpreting them as propositions integrated within a transcendental argumentation. Even if this analysis reveals important obstacles for this strategy of justification, the consideration of those obstacles reveals relevant aspects of the so-called affection-problem (i.e., the problem of the ontological status that should be assigned -in the frame of the critical theory of knowledgeto the entity that affects us), thereby contributing to the elucidation of one of the most problematical and controversial issues of Kant's theory of knowledge.

Keywords : Thing-in-itself; Affection; Transcendental Argumentation.
