Resumen

POBIERZYM, Ricardo Pablo. El mundo y lo abierto en el pensar de Martin Heidegger y Rainer María Rilke: Su representación en el vuelo de la alondra. Cuad. Sur, Filos. [online]. 2011, n.40, pp. 153-164. ISSN 2362-2989.

The bird that surrounds the skies and with its singing inspires poets on their stanzas... the skylark as the symbol of the purest love impulse in our poetical tradition, does it perceive 'the Open' as it is suggested by Rilke? Or is Lichtung given to mankind only, as Heidegger claims? The World, its possibility and 'the Open' will be the main topic of our exposition. We will focus on Heidegger's analysis concerning world poverty (Weltarmut) of the animals, developed on The Fundamental Concepts of Metaphysics: World, Finitude, Solitude (1929-1930); and then we will compare it with Reiner Maria Rilke's The 8th Duino Elegyin, and more specifically, with what was stated by the poet on the animal, the child, the lovers and their relation with 'the Open' (das Offene). This elegy, being a joint unit in the poet's work, was subsequently discussed by Heidegger in his lecture course Parmenides (1943) where the author flatly denies that the animal could be exposed in the Lichtung (Clearing). However, even if this critique is accepted, there will be doubts about how the Lichtung (Clearing) is befalling on the child and the lovers. Heidegger's silence referring to these topics will take us back to the graceful flight of the skylark and to reconsider his critique to Rilke.
