Resumen

LUTZ, Bruno. Estudio de las formas de diferenciación interna en organizaciones rurales corporativas: El caso de la CNC en México. Cuad. Sur, Hist. [online]. 2004, n.33, pp. 25-45. ISSN 1668-7604.

In this study, the author analyzes relationships of power in three Mexican rural organizations affiliated to the Institutional Revolutionary Party. Each organization differs from the others according to size, activity and members' profile. More precisely, this investigation shows that the internal relationships of power are mainly found in two fields: regulations and identity and the process of collective representation. In the former, the control of application and transformation of the norm framework is fundamental in the Rural National Confederation, while at regional level, internal regulations are the object of a symbolic quarrel. At the local women farmers' association, operational regulations are dominated by practical needs. Also, the process of internal differentiation is manifested by the acquisition of responsibilities and qualities by leaders who are not always supported by members. The process of changing leaders is complex and full of eventualities; however, this process shows distinctive practices in three politicized rural organizations.
