Abstract

BOHOSLAVSKY, Ernesto. La locura de los cuerdos. El complot militar contra el complot yrigoyenista-antiyrigoyenista-chileno (Neuquén, 1930). Cuad. Sur, Hist. [online]. 2005, n.34, pp. 35-54. ISSN 1668-7604.

This article focuses on the consequences of the military coup of September 1930 in the city of Neuquén. It was then when an Army lieutenant assumed control of the city and arrested up to 10% of the local inhabitants who were believed to be taking part of a wide conspiracy led by Yrigoyen's followers, anti-Yrigoyen politicians and Chilean troops. This is an attempt to outline the social and cultural causes of these facts, mainly related to the mental picture of the Army and the anti-Chilean prejudices in Patagonia, the nature of the political regime of the Territorios Nacionales and the strength of a vigilance-centered political culture, with a nationalist, Catholic and militaristic tone.

Keywords : Armed Forces; 1930.
