In this article we analyze the routine and contentious collective action practices go ahead with a sector of industrialists in an important industrial argentine region studying the Asociación de Industriales Metalúrgicos de Rosario - AIMR throughout the last military dictatorship. We underline the different stances taken by the organization during the period, as well as the reasons of those changes. We argue that, while they continued to use routine collective action ways in a modified context, in the end of the period they resort to contentious actions. We suggest contributing to the understanding of the complex and changing social and politics links they wove throughout these years, while we promote the reflection about the peculiarities of industrialist collective action.
