During Juan Vicente Gómez government, intellectual people have important political participation in the several State powers, in a national level and in the local and regional governments. In Zulia State, located in western Venezuela, agro-exporter during the 19^th century and main petroleum producer since 1922, prominent members of intellectuality perform actively in the region and country politic processes, from 1908 to 1935, which supported the governor management or the opposition. In the paper, we identifify and characterize we investigated, and its participation in the politic process during that period.
