ARANZAZU DIAZ, R.. Los Profesores Universitarios en el Exilio Republicano Español en Argentina, un estudio de caso. Cuad. Sur, Hist. [online]. 2007, n.35-36, pp. 285-319. ISSN 2362-2997.

Unlike Mexico, the most widely studied case of republican exile historiography, the Spanish political exile that arrived and settled in Argentina by the end of the 1930s, was characterized, among other things, by its reduced numbers and high qualification. Many actors of such migration, coming from the so-called "Silver Age" of the Spanish culture, are a clear example of the professional quality of the Spanish exile in Argentina, which left a significant cultural and scientific trace in the different professional fields of the recipient society. This paper attempts to introduce to the study of those university professors who escaped from Spain because of the civil war and who successfully inserted themselves in the Argentine University setting. Thus, we have prepared a sketch of the different ways of access of the Spanish exile to the Argentine Republic and we have established a series of charts that show, classified according to scientific areas, the list of Spanish professors who performed teaching and research activities at different National Universities, drawing a kind of geography of the republican exile in the Higher Education system of the host country.
