Abstract

BARRY, Carolina. Mujeres en Blanco y Negro: La misión religiosa de las Hermanas del Huerto en los hogares de tránsito de la Fundación Eva Perón. Cuad. Sur, Hist. [online]. 2007, n.35-36, pp. 407-439. ISSN 2362-2997.

Research aimed at covering the whole range of problems posed by Eva Perón Foundation, has defined its social help as the provision or facilitation of services and diverse material goods to every single needy that so demanded. But little or almost nothing has been told, whether by ignorance or omission, about the purely religious tasks that such Foundation carried out in one of its most important and proudly shown institution: the temporary homes for women. The purpose of this research is to describe and analyze the way in which religious activity was put into practice in the temporary homes of Eva Perón Foundation, through the Hermanas del Huerto (Sisters of the Olive Garden), who were, in addition, deeply involved with Evita and her charity postulates.

Keywords : Eva Perón Foundation; Temporary Homes; Sisters of the Olive Garden; Women`s Social Policies During First Peronism.
