The globalization of the economy and the business logic that emerged in this new phase of Capitalism, have undermined the theoretical foundations on which they have based approaches addressing industrial location until the mid-twentieth century. The new tracks which began to emerge in the decade of '70, have placed emphasis on the importance it assumes the territory -their specific resources, their social structure, their institutions- in the location decisions and the development of enterprises. This article contains the results of a case study developed in the town of Tres Arroyos (Argentina). The investigation has been directed to identify the factors that are crucial territory to understand the location and retained, and the dynamics of industrial enterprises in the city. Also, efforts have been made to compare results obtained through empirical analysis, with major theoretical contributions that have addressed the industrial location in the field of Geography and Economy Space.
