In this model, production and distribution of food are oriented almost exclusively to foreign markets and based on large-scale production and the development of transgenic soybeans monoculture. Thus, the Argentine agro is moving towards a selective concentrated type of agriculture without farmers. In this regard, the main objective of this study is to investigate the production of soybeans in Argentina as an activity that would exemplify the agricultural policies that guided the nation in recent years; thus, trying to evaluate the roll of the national agricultural sector. The topic is dealt form the study of several authors who investigated the established model of industrial agriculture as well as from the use of data obtained from National Agricultural Census released by the INDEC.
