Resumen

BONDEL, C. Santiago  y  VAZQUEZ, Alberto D.. Multiterritorialidad en la Patagonia rural esteparia: Destinos de la tierra, ausentismo y problemáticas emergentes. Rev. Univ. geogr. [online]. 2016, vol.25, n.2, pp. 103-132. ISSN 1852-4265.

The aim of this article is to present analytical progress on the Patagonian steppe which, since the late 80s, has gone through new situations affecting its spatial organization under often critical circumstances. The concepts of "multi-territoriality" and "ownership absenteeism" are incorporated as an illustrative approach to new configurations. The analysis focused on case studies in accordance with survey strategies to identify spatio-temporal dynamics and space destination. The general methodological approach is combined, i.e. quantitative procedures -thematic cartography and data bases- and qualitative methods -multiple interviews with representative actors. It is concluded on how the territorial logics obey to different purposes at different scales. Those purposes culminate in both, productive and contemplative/recreational initiatives associated with business, and political and personal decisions. In this contextual framework, uncertainties are recurrent so that academic contributions helping to clarify the rural panorama with its projection in socio-territorial management are highly valued.
