LARRECHE, José Ignacio  y  NIETO, María Belén. Discrepancias topofílicas en un espacio unívoco de Bahía Blanca. Estudio comparativo en torno a espacios escolares desde una mirada geográfica emergente. Rev. Univ. geogr. [online]. 2017, vol.26, n.1, pp. 31-55. ISSN 1852-4265.

It is stated that geography studies the relationship between men and space. This fact seems to justify the delay of this social science around the subjects in intimate connection with the geographical space, which must be considered as a place of men and women. Although many authors have the idea of a social dimension of space, geographers have not led studies with a gender approach until 1980 when there was an emerging geography in the context of a critical turn. This work, enrolled in Cultural Geography, intends to detect discrepancies from both, family and institutional mandates on gender relations in a subpopulation of students from two nearby schools, which translates into a discontinuity in the space at a neighborhood scale. Through qualitative techniques, we outline some causes leading to an unequal appropriation of space by these two groups of students who share the same neighborhood but not the same use of its territory according to their gender.
