Abstract

VARA MUNOZ, José Luis. Transformación urbana del Área Metropolitana Este de Madrid: Ejemplos de su percepción en el municipio de Coslada. Rev. Univ. geogr. [online]. 2018, vol.27, n.1, pp. 49-72. ISSN 1852-4265.

Madrid, the capital of Spain, was surrounded by towns and villages that formed a rural outdated area until 1959. The Economic Stabilization Plan of 1959, the spanish transition to democracy from 1976 and the Spanish accession to the European Union in 1986 transformed that zone into one of the most important metropolitan areas in Europe. This research is focused on the Eastern Region of Madrid and presents a detailed study of some urban facilities in Coslada through the "Geography of perception" methodology.
