SCHWEITZER, Mariana et al. Actividades extractivas en la producción del territorio en Argentina: Un análisis comparado entre minería, soja e hidrocarburos. Rev. Univ. geogr. [online]. 2020, vol.29, n.1, pp. 99-127. ISSN 1852-4265.
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the territorial deployment of key activities of the intensive extractive economy in Argentina from the 1990s to the present, comparing soybean cultivation in Charata and Villa Ángela (Province of Chaco), open pit mining in Belén, Hualfín and Andalgalá (Province of Catamarca) and the extraction of unconventional hydrocarbons in Añelo and Rincón de los Sauces (Province of Neuquén). It explores the articulation of activities with their regional environment and the global-local relationship. As a result, different performances related to the generation of employment and population attraction, local economic dynamics and the generation of complementary activities, and the public policies that guided their development were observed. Therefore, this study allowed us to consider their behavior as regional enclaves.
