Abstract

FERNANDEZ, Sandra N. et al. Validación de simulaciones de tormentas en el Sector Superior de la Cuenca Alta del Río Sauce Grande (Argentina). Rev. Univ. geogr. [online]. 2021, vol.30, n.1, pp. 43-76. ISSN 1852-4265.

The development and implementation of hydrological models that simulate watershed processes is strategic for water management. The validation of a hydrological model for the upper sector of the basin of the Sauce Grande River is presented. Seven storms recorded by three rain gauges in the area and their corresponding hydrographs, measured at a limnigraphic station on the Sauce Grande, of known h-Q law, were selected. The base flow was extracted from a stochastic algorithm. Five storms were used for calibration and two for validation. Four adjustment parameters related to the initial moisture state of the basin and the retention capacity of both soil and vegetation were considered. The Nash-Sutcliffe coefficients obtained indicate very good to excellent values of the quality of the adjustment for both, calibrated and validated storms.
