In the current context of COVID-19 pandemic, the social, preventive and compulsory isolation measures imposed by the national government affect the normal performance of various activities. At the corporate level, the possibility of holding board and shareholders meetings is limited. Therefore, several provisions have been issued for them to be held virtually. The aim of this article is to outline the main issues related to General Assembly meetings arising from the regulatory provisions of the General Companies Act, the impact of the amendments made following the adoption of the new National Civil and Commercial Code and the resolutions issued by the various control agencies in times of COVID-19.
